The Second World War in a television mini-series which, seen through the eyes of a group of mountaineers from the 10th Mountain Division, from the arrival of the Division in Italy, between the end of 1944 and January 1945, to the end of the war. The mini-series, dubbed in US English, is based entirely on true events documented through the memories of still living veterans and recounts the personal experiences of the soldiers and their relationships with the civilian population.
