A welcome that like only Italian emigrants can give. We are so enthusiastic, a perfect organisation. Four frenetic days of preparation but also visits to Casa Italia and the museums that talk about Italians in Chicago.
In addition to the miniseries,  the two documentaries that have been just completed and are part of the 1945 MOUNTAINMEN Project of the Memorie d'Italia Museum in Iola di Montese were also presented. The first, introductory to the miniseries, focused on the history of the 10th Mountain Division, and was subtitled HISTORY and MEMORIES. The second, subtitled MEMORIES and TERRITORY, is a Then and Now of people, countries and battlefields. Towards the end there are images of the main monuments of the 10th Mountain Division in the Italian Northern Apennines, all geotagged. Applause, emotion and handshakes and congratulations from many spectators. The comment of veteran Jackob Pollack, 99 years old, 85th Regiment, HQ II Battalion, was enough for us to confirm the honourable work done. Thanks to Ron Onesti for his hospitality and making his Des Planes theatre available for the screening, to Elizabeth Taylor and Lorenzo Fiorentino for their welcome and organisation.

Exactly one year after the Italian premiere, the miniseries was presented in the auditorium of the "House of the 10th Mountain Division", the base of the great unit in Fort Drum, New York. The screening was attended by the base commander Major General Division Scott Naumann and his staff. Applause from the entire the hall and flattering words from the commander who emphasised the accuracy of the details and of the high-intensity combat.

Applause for a few minutes and also emotion for the common thread that links the four episodes of the mini-series. A challenging project in which the director, Luciano La Valle, wrote and direct and the executive producers, Guglielmo Mattiello and the brothers Andrea and Giuliano Gandolfi who, the latter, took care of the financing resources and organization.

The US-English version was presented on June 11, 2023. In attendance were 122 descendants of the veterans of the 10th Mountain Division, the unit on which the miniseries focuses, as well as civilian and military authorities. Applause and deep emotion at the end of the screening.

After a year of work, on 10 June 2023 the production team presented the miniseries prewiev in Montese, in presence of the re-enactors, tht technicians, the production and direction, as well as the workers who built on setting up the sets for the filming which often took place in rain, snow and mud.
